Malidens tablet is an analgesic (pain reliever) and antipyretic (fever reducer). It is used to relieve pain in case of a headache, a backache, toothache, and arthritis. Get to know how Malidens works, its side effects, precautions, and contraindications where Malidens is not suggested.

Malidens tablet uses

It reduces pain in the body caused due to fever. It is often prescribed to patients who suffer from cancer or have undergone surgery, to help them cope up with the pain. Malidens tablet is normally administered orally, rectally, and also through intravenously.

Malidens tablet is used for the treatment, control, prevention, & improvement of the following diseases, conditions and their symptoms:


This tablet is used to provide temporary relief from fever without treating the underlying cause.


Malidens tablet is used to relieve joint pain including mild to moderate pain in arthritis.


Malidens tablet is used to relieve acute headaches including migraine.

Menstrual Cramps

Malidens tablet is used to relieve pain and cramping associated with the menstrual cycle in women.

Muscle Pain

Malidens tablet is used to relieve mild to moderate pain in the muscles.

Post Immunization fever

Malidens tablet is used in the treatment of pain and fever that sets in after one has taken vaccinations.

Malidens tablet—side effects:

Nausea or Vomiting

Malidens tablet can cause nausea and vomiting along with other symptoms like diarrhea, abdominal pain, dry mouth etc.


Malidens tablet can cause low to moderate pyrexia (fever) with or without chills.

Allergic skin reaction

Malidens tablet can cause red spots on the skin, hives rashes, and itching.

Gastric / Mouth Ulcer

Malidens tablet can cause stomach and mouth ulcers.


Malidens tablet can cause anemia-like symptoms in some patients.


Malidens tablet can cause weakness and tiredness with pain and twitching of the muscle.

Stevens-Johnson syndrome (allergic reaction of the skin)

Malidens tablet can cause fatal allergic reaction of the skin that requires immediate treatment. But it occurs rarely.

Contraindications for Malidens Tablet:

This tablet not prescribed if you have following conditions:


This tablet is not recommended if you have a known allergy to this medicine.

Liver Disease

If you are suffering from the impaired liver function then this tablet is not recommended for you because unable to metabolize this medicine.

Kidney Disease

This tablet is not recommended if you suffer from impaired kidney function due to excessive use of painkillers or otherwise.

Precautions before taking Malidens tablet:

Some medications are not suitable for people with certain ailments, and sometimes a medicine may only be used if extra care is taken. For these reasons, before you start taking Malidens tablet, it is important that your doctor knows:

  • If you have stomach ulcer, or if you have an inflammatory bowel disorder such as ulcerative colitis or Crohn’s disease
  • If you have asthma or any other allergic disorder
  • If you are pregnant or breastfeeding
  • If you have high blood pressure
  • If you have a heart condition or a problem with your circulation or blood vessels
  • If you have any blood clotting problems
  • If you have ever had an allergic reaction to any other medicines (such as aspirin, naproxen, and ibuprofen), or to any other NSAIDs.
  • If you have problems with the way your kidneys work or problems with the way your liver works

Taking more than prescribed Malidens tablet may cause harmful side effects. Consult your doctor or pharmacist if you find any side effects.

Missing dosage

If you miss the dosage take as soon as possible, and if it is near to next dose, skip the missing dosage continue the regular dosage. Do not take extra doses.


This tablet is not known to cause any harm to the fetus, but should only be used after consultation with your doctor.


Malidens tablet is safe to use during breastfeeding. Before taking this medicine consult your doctor.
