Megaloblastic anemia is a condition, in which this normal process is disturbed and an abnormal and large red blood cell are produced. These large sized RBC cells are called Megaloblasts which are unhealthy and of no use in healthy oxygen supply to the body. Due to this condition, there will be less amount of healthy RBC in the bloodstream. The key possible reason behind Megaloblastic anemia is lack of sufficient Folic Acid (Vitamin B9) supply in the diet. This medicine may be prescribed in such conditions.
